I am a certified master dog trainer and the owner of Best In Show Dog Training, LLC. Although I have been training dogs since I was an adolescent, my formal dog training and behavior management expertise and subsequent certification, was obtained from the Anthony Jerone School of Dog Training and Career, Inc. It is the only Dog Training School licensed by the New York State Education Departments’ Bureau of School Supervision. I am also a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, as well as certified by the American Red Cross in Dog & Cat first aid. I also am involved in the Train-To-Adopt program at the New Rochelle Humane Society and I'm a certified AKC Canine Good Citizens Evaluator.

I live and train in the Lower Westchester area. My goal is to provide dog training that is fair, firm and fun, and lets dogs know what is expected of them.
I employ several types of training methods, including positive reinforcement such as vocal high pitched praise in “dogeese”, affection and appropriate corrections where indicated. I also may use food or toys as initial motivators. Treats may help a timid or aggressive dog feel more comfortable. Dogs have different temperaments, e.g., dominant, submissive, fearful, hyperactive, and lethargic. Each temperament may require a specialized training approach. My philosophy is that one “size doesn’t fit all” when it comes to dog training.
